Silverbyte Systems Ltd. is the leading supplier of hotel management technology software solutions to the hotel and hospitality industry with a commanding 60% of the hotel market in Israel.  The company’s third generation software, the Optima Line of Hotel Management Software, is installed in such leading hotels and hotel groups in Europe, Africa and the Middle East as the Le Meridien, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Accor – Mercure, Premier International Hotels & Resorts, Leonardo Hotels, Paradise Hotels, Don Suite Hotels and many others as well as in various cruise ships (see Customers List).

The company’s Silverbyte Application Service Provider (ASP) for the Hotel and Hospitality Industry was introduced in 1998. Silverbyte is pioneering the ASP business and technology platform.

Silverbyte’s Optima Line platform can be operated either as a client/server system installed at the customer's premises or as a remote service provided by the group or outsourced ASP. The ASP solution can also operate as a proprietary ASP for a specific hotel or chain.

Internet companies that are creating industry specific vertical portals are now examining the distinct advantages that the Silverbyte ASP has to offer when developing their hotel and hospitality portal.  Silverbyte ASP was selected by iGroup, a leading Scandinavian Internet company to establish the ASP for the Scandinavian hotel market.

Silverbyte Application Service Provider (ASP) for the Hotel and Hospitality Industry was introduced to the hotel and hospitality industry in 1998, targeting small and medium size independent hotel groups and hotels. The rising cost of IT implementation and the constantly increasing cost of IT administration in our client hotels was the impetus for creating the Silverbyte ASP product.  This market segment of hotels has been seriously burdened by the constant upgrading of hardware, software, as well as the difficulties having to manage ever-increasing complex systems. As a result the hotels are using today superior central management and control tools that upgrade the hotel activities and presence in their markets.

 Ongoing R&D Philosophy Philsophy

Silverbyte’s philosophy is that although all hotels are the same, each hotel and hotel chain is managed and operated differently. We believe that it is not the customer who should adopt himself to the system but the system should adopt itself to the customer needs. This is why the Optima Hotel Management Software Line is not sold as an “Off the shelf” products but as an integrated system that can be customized to the customer needs. There are numerous parameters in the system that help the hotel and chain implement their own management concepts into the system.

New and improved versions are released every once in a while. The development department is using advanced development tools and strict standards of analysis and programming resources. Modifications to the system are being done constantly to meet requirements of our customers that are currently not in the system. Each optima application has only one international version that is updated, upgraded and tested constantly, so when a new feature is added to meet a request of one customer, eventually everyone benefits from it.

Above this Silverbyte develops for and together with its key customers new designated software that allow them to lead the market and use the latest technology to overcome their competition.

Silverbyte invests a great deal of efforts in developing systems for the ASP concept that use the power of centralized information and allow uninterrupted operations of the hotel when connection to the server farm is down. Many developments of new products and features using this technology have been done together with the Fattal Hotels and Holiday during the last years.

In 2003 Silverbyte Systems was divided into five companies, each one focuses on its core business under the international umbrella of Silverbyte Systems and its president Mr. Avi Moscona.
